Abstract

In an era where technology is increasingly permeating all aspects of life, educators need to understand how technology can serve as an effective tool for fostering a culture of independent learning among students. One notable technological tool is the Padlet app, which facilitates collaboration and the online sharing of ideas and learning materials. This study aims to explain how the use of the Padlet app can help foster a culture of independent learning among elementary school students. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and a literature review, this study analyzes the various contributions of the Padlet app in strengthening aspects of learning, such as critical thinking skills, reading and writing abilities, learning time efficiency, usage systems, and privacy. The results show that the Padlet app makes a positive contribution to facilitating students’ independent learning, expanding opportunities for interaction between students and teachers, and enriching the overall learning experience. The implications of this study highlight the importance of integrating technology—such as the Padlet app—to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that enables students to actively engage in the learning process.
